screen going white??!! pixelate??!

everytime i turn my iPhone off and then back on it shows the apple then the screen starts to pixelate (or something) then go to all white! i have to wait for the phone to be on then hit the top button to turn screen off and hit again to turn back on and it's fine . . . anyway to fix this??! anybody anybody??! thanks!
