I need to get rid of my Vonage line, but I need to still have a VM greeting associated with the phone number. Thanks.

Yes, you can port from Vonage to a wireless provider.

I'm curious as to why you're getting rid of Vonage? I'm thinking about signing up with them.

They've been great and I'd recommend them. The scope of my business has changed, and I don't need the "landline" and fax from Vonage any more. I can forward my toll free line (currently sent to Vonage) to my unlimited cell phone and I'll have a greeting on my local number (ported to Fido) telling people to only call the toll free number. Hope that makes sense, I'm sure it's more than you needed to know.

My current AT&T number was originally a Vonage number. Works fine.

Greetings! I was hoping someone can give me an overview of their experience porting out of Vonage to a cell carrier. I'm attempting to port from Vonage to Verizon Wireless, 4 days in and no luck. How long should it take? Who should I call?
Thank you!

Ports from landline providers and voip providers take more time. My port from Vonage took about 10 days.

Thank you for your quick response!
Another question: Did you just wait, did you call to push the landline/Vonage? push the wireless provider? When it was done, how did you know? A good understanding of your experience would be appreciated.
Thanks!
