HTC Touch - Good choice?

I'm in an area without Verizon, T-Mobile or AT&T. My wife also works for Alltel. The Touch comes out in a week here through Alltel. I've never had a smartphone, but this looks pretty neat. I've looked through all of the reviews and for the most part it looks ok. Not sure on the GPS function through Alltel yet. They said yes, but it also (like Sprint) does not have WI-FI. Anyone able to talk me into or out of this phone? Thanks!

I do not have the phone yet but my cousin does and I must say it is AMAZING, the reception is quite good, the speaker is loud, the interface is nice, the mp3 player is nice, the camera is very sharp and the touch screen needs a little pushing which is good for me because when I have something that is super sensitive it will go to something other than I want it to, this may be a problem for you so the extra force that would need to be applied might be a good thing.

not the best rf phone but out of 10, i would give it 8

camera isn't that sharp ... no autofocus, you have to have steady hands for the touch camera.. as for the touchscreen, it's meant for your fingers, so you don't have to worry too much, just "touch" it... if you want you can always tweak the threshold of the screen to make it more sensitive

Not to get off the subject of this phone, as I'm also now considering one or a BB 8130 Pearl,

What other phones have a high RF signal

I last bought a Nokia 6255i because heard it had good rf quality.
