The "$19.99 intternet plan" is the TMO's Total internet for $19.99. It's pretty much self explanatory. If you plan on using an iPhone, you'd save $14 using Tzones and the proxy hack. The only major difference between the two I believe is the Total internet is a little faster and opens all available ports but the average user wouldn't reconize the difference...

^ didnt have 2 quote my typo smh..i asked cuz i didnt see it on the t-mo site when i went to "add or change plan" on my tmobile

its for the wing, dash, and shadow

The reason why is because it is not applicable based on the phone they think you have. Click on the not your phone link in my T-Mobile and tell them you have a dash. It should show up then. Or you can just click on the show all packages and options link at the bottom of the change your plan screen.

Not true...I've had both plans for both the Dash and then the Iphone. There's no difference in speed or options between both plans with the Iphone. The ONLY caviat is you can't search in the youtube app. You can look at all the videos on the today list and the featured section but the search requires one of those ports TMO reserves for the total internet. EVERYTHING else is the same.

IMO, save yourself 14 dollars and grab the 5.99 Tzone plan. Youtube videos look better over wifi anyhow and when you cut that on, the youtube search option works.

I did a test using http://www.iphonenetworktest.com/
and with both the 5.99 and the19.99 I found that my edge speeds on avg are between 130-150Kbps at home (whenever my wifi goes down which is never) and 180-200Kbps at work. I say go for it

I can help you if you need assistance setting it up. There's a source on installer where you can download the TMO hack file directly which after rebooting already sets up your iphone for you. Let me know if you need that

wow, that is pretty fast for t-zones. i just got my t-zones proxy working the other day and it seems like my speeds vary from 50-90kbps. i guess the speeds are different in different areas. i'm not sure how the 20 dollar data plan is, but i seem to always lose connection on meebo with t-zones

When I had T-Zones, the issue I kept running into was a file size download limit, somewhere under 1000k. Surfing the net was fine, but if I tried to download, say an mp3 that was a few megs, it would balk at me.

Did a test with a smaller mp3 around 500k and it downloaded fine.

Stepped up to the $20 plan and got T-Mobile HotSpots included. (Starbuck, Kinkos, etc.)

May not matter to most, but for me, when I bought the iPhone, I outgrew T-Zones data package.
