So I was on vacation in Germany for 2.5 weeks during the holidays. Since my personal phone is CDMA so therefore it will not work in EU then I have my work phone with GSM but of course I dont want to use it there. So I bought a Prepaid card/SIM from Vodafone. It cost me €19.50 thats with the SIM card AND €10 prepaid. So the SIM card cost €9.50 which is not bad.
The thing is that its kinda expensive to use it. The main reason for me is for SMS to Canada and each SMS cost €0.39 I think which was crazy and for local cell phones it was €0.20 and €0.29/min calling landline.
The cool thing in Germany is that all cellphones work on the subway! Service was pretty good. Its was only using gprs though but sometimes it had edge.
Oh the cool thing is that their prepaid service has global roaming and the prepaid never expires! *However my friend just told me today that I need to use the SMS at least once every 2 months.... So depends when I will go back to Germany or EU to be exact... The minimum recharge is €15.00 it would have been better if it was €10.00
I was using my BB 8300
