Mp3's not playing on V3i

I work at a cellphone place and i have a customer that has a Razr V3i and she has a memory stick for her phone for music. Her husband has the Krzr and has a seperate memory stick for his phone. She is able to put music on both cards and they both play fine on the Krzr but when you try to play them on the V3i they say error. I told her to format the card for her phone only for her phone and don't put it in the krzr at all, but it still does the same thing?? can anyone help me on this matter??

Reset the phone. And put get to a computer. Btw V3i can only read Mp3 songs.

see what kind of file the v3i put in but usually it should have one file say itune and than other file for all ur memory and stuff.

V3i cannot deal with MP3 >192 kbps.

sounds good i will check the bit rate when she comes in if that was the problem

i knew that it can only play mp3 but thanks for the help

make sure the mp3s are at CBR (Constant Bit Rate), not VBR (Variable Bit Rate)

Thanks for the help with the problem. Turns out it was because the songs where over 192 kps.

Will any music editing software, ie Audacity, have an option to change the bit rate and also whether it is CBR or VBR??

Also are there any patches or anything that can be downloaded or installed on to the V3i to up grade the music player. The Krzr's have the same music player but there's is copywrited for 2006 and they will play above the 192 kps and also the CBR and VBR's.
