(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I need some help with my HTC Touch from Bell Mobility. I have spoken with UT StarCom and they don't support the ability to change the programs that are launched in Flo Cube. When I touch Music, it launches an internet browser to go to the Bell music store. I just want to lauch Audio Manager or Media Player like the manual states. Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks!

I don't have a touch.. I have a kaiser. But some people created a cab for the cube. You are supposed to set it up. At least that's what I had.

Go to xda-developers under kaiser. Nobody will help you for touch but if you do a search you'll find your answer.

i checked there and i still don't see the answere that i'm looking for. i'm pretty shur i found the right files, i just don't see why it aint working. i tried putting the file in every option that i can: shortcut path, parameters, path (.brn), but nothing seems to change. its still the music store.

Through another forum I was able to get the answer. You can change the FLo Cube programs by editing the registry...

HKE_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Biotouch\APLaunchet .

In that folder there are several folders where you can change the exe file and icon. In the folder listed above, there are six different folders to check. That will allow you to change the Flo Cube window with 6 choices (Email, etc.) To change the window with the 3 choices, (Music, Photos, Videos) you have to go into another folder. You search for the one which lists the program to start an IE browser and change the file name to audiomanager.exe. Then you must do a soft reset and the program will have changed.

YOU MUST BE CAREFUL! Editing the registry can be tricky. You will need to download a registry editing program and then you can do this. Don't attempt this unless you are comfortable with editing a registry.

There are applications on xda-developers.com called touch settings, ftouchflo, etc, you can edit all of these. they are really simple.

i dont know about conflicting wtih branded devices, but you should definetly spend some time reading over there (i know you said you did, but i know your questions are all answered there as it's not a new topic, changing the cube nav paths)

YOu can definelty make that TOuch better then what Bell has done to it.

isn't touch settings and ftouchflo just different programs like cubeconfigtool? cause i have the cubeconfigtool installed and pmaclean i don't see that folder

Cube Config:

click on the small thumb image of the music box
Name - Music
Shortcut Path - \Windows\AudioManager.exe
Parameters - NULL

Leave ICon Type and Path the way they are.

THat should be it. If it doesn't work, Bell did something to their touchs.

And yes, Cube Config/Touch Settings are very similar apps. I use touch settings. ftouchflo is for gestures.

I am on a custom rom so don't know if that makes it any different, maybe Bell ROMs are different.

I actually can't believe Bell would stoop to that level to alter a button in the cube navigation. The cube navigation is almost next to useless the way it comes from most devices, then bell goes and does that? idiots.

how i'm having problems with my touch, i changed all the settings on the cube cause i was trying each spot. so now i deleted cube config so that i can restart with all the standard settings and now i can't synch my touch. whenever i connected my touch to my comp, it just charges my touch but won't connect to active sync.
can someone help me out please. thanks

edit: wow not how lol

how come theres no option to edit once u post?? still can't figure out why it won't connect to active sync

Posted by: briggs81

I gave you the wap settings. 3 boxes, 3 pieces of info in your connection setup window.

Check out your manual it might give you step by step.

hey briggs i finally got my active synch to work, so i re dowloaded cube config, and changed the shortcut just like u said and it still takes me to the store

Well, the settings I gave you were the exact settings on my tytn II and cube config, so I am assuming that branded Bell touches are different, perhaps where apps are stored, registry settings, all that stuff. Otherwise it should have worked.

You might have to spend some time digging through your touch, the settings previously posted were as much as I know about configuring the cube.

Can't believe bell did that.. what a horrible joke.
