8830 and Jawbone?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I received a Jawbone for Christmas and use it with my 8830. Great headset but it disconnects about 4 times per hour! Never had this happen with an older jabra. Already exchanged the Jawbone for a new one....still disconnects all the time.

Anyone else have this problem? think it is the phone, the headset, or both? Suggestions?

Do you have your blue Bluetooth LED indicator turned on?

My jawbone with the 8700 works great! I do know that on aliphs's site they say that while it is blue tooth compatible cdma devices don't work as well.

I've had no issues with my 8130 Pearl and my Jawbone.

I have an 8830 and a Jawbone, on Sprint, and never have that problem...

I had a similar problem with my Treo 700WX and the jawbone but it ended up being a programming problem with the phone. I'm new to BB so I can't give a whole lot of advice but I would think there is probably a service book or something similar for the Bluetooth on the phone. Maybe reinstall the bluetooth software on the phone to see if it fixes it. My jawbone is working perfectly now on my BB...

I've never had this problem either. 8830 on Bell Mobility.

I have an 8830 as well with a Jawbone and this has never happened to me. I'm also on Verizon. You should have it checked out.

I didn't have connectivity problem unless I moved away from the 8830 more than 15 feet. The underlying issue for me was it's lousy performance: volume, loose fit to the ear. There are better devices out there...
