Current Phone: LG C2000
Current Carrier: AT&T
Location: Atlanta, GA
I have a few questions.
I am currently with AT&T. I have not been impressed with the Edge data network as both Sprint and Verizon have faster EV-DO technology. However, due to the fact that AT&T is GSM (which has more potential for phone service) and the fact that I believe their 4G data network is supposed to be quicker than Sprint's WiMax network, I may wish to stay with them. I was just curious as to the future of cellular data networks.
But for now, I need a carrier with a quick network and a good phone. And since I'll have to upgrade phones to use the quicker services in the future I may as well go with the networks with the quicker data services now. I have narrowed my choices to:
AT&T Tilt (TyTn II)
Sprint Mogul (PC-6800)
Verizon Samsung SCH-i760

Please let me know any opinions you may have of these. As of now, I think I am leaning toward the Samsung SCH-i760 with Verizon. Verizon seems to have more reliable service and better customer support with a network almost as quick as Sprint. However, I'm not sure I really like the boxy style of the Samsung, but I have had great experience with them in the past. The other one I considering seriously is the Sprint Mogul (PC-6800). I like the intuitive designs HTC continues to come out with and combined with the faster Sprint network, I think this phone would be great. Lastly, due to the relative sluggish performance of the Edge network, I have not been considering the AT&T Tilt (TyTn II) as much. However, as a phone I really like it.
Ultimately, I still have not found a phone/carrier that I am completely sold on. If you have an experiences with these phones or suggestions about which to go with please let me know. Or if you have a reason or information on any new smartphones that may make me want to wait a little bit longer please let me know!
Thanks for your help.

I just got my mogul last night. I'll play with it and let you know how it works out.

OK, there was no need to put the specs of all the phones here. It takes up unnecessary space.
Of those three, the defining features are...
i760 has the numeric keyboard along with the QWERTY.
Mogul has the cheaper network.
Tilt has the GPS and good camera.
I played with the i760 and didn't really feel it. The numeric keypad is a nice addition and makes it a lot more usable, but the slide-out keyboard isn't really spacious. The Mogul and Tilt are better for that.
Now, I guess you're afraid that AT&T's network isn't going to give you 3G all the time? Valid concern, but HSDPA should be pretty well built up around ATL.
EDIT: Rereading your post, it looks like you're unaware that AT&T also has 3G (UMTS/HSDPA). Your last phone probably didn't have 3G.

I'm a Tilt user. Of the above three, I think you'd find the Tilt to be the most versatile of the bunch. The Kaiser (What HTC calls the Tilt) has roughly the same processor as the Mogul (QUALCOMM MSM7500 vs the 7200 in the Tilt, same processor, different air interface), however, it has a lower-quality camera (Tilt: 3MP, Mogul: 2MP), and no GPS. It also has less program memory, even though it does have a 512MB flash integrated (The Tilt does not).
As for the Samsung, I don't know. What I do know is that AT&T allows me to use my phone for whatever I damn well please, and I can't even send a 30-second MP3 clip to my girlfriend on Verizon!
