Hi,

I have few simple questions about Sanyo 8100. The user manual I got is useless.

1. I sent mail to my sprinpcs mail. I got a mail symbol on my phone. How can i get rid of that. I already read that mail on sprint web site. I don't know how to read the mail on my cell.

2. I was trying to get into security (in the settings menu) with wrong pass code. After three tries I got a symbol on my lcd display. A target mark crossed by red line. How can I get rid of that from my display. Later I found my pass code and logged into security successfully.

Is there any place I can find all the features of this phone, other than the ones mentioned in the manual. I think, manual is covering very less number of features.

You should be able to clear notifications. I'm not much help on this.

This has nothing to do with your security. This means location service is turned off. When its on, the red line will be removed. This and all of the LCD icons are explained in Menu>Phone Info>Help

i just bought the 5300 and the manual that comes with it is just an appended version. The complete manual is a PDF doc that can be viewed and dowloaded at sprint's website. I assume that the situation is similar for the 8100.

about mail symbol go to menu messaging notification and check there. if already read got to menu voicemail adn press clear count.yeah same thing with the 8100 manual. Does anyone know y they did that? an appended manual when u buy then u have to go online to get the full version?!. i mean if paper consumption was a big deal they could have gotten rid of all those regulation and TOS crap(not crap but would have rather read about my phone) adn put that online and put the entire manual in the paperback. makes more sense 2 me.
