What's the deal on firmwares?

What are the pros & cons essentially for wanting to switch to a different firmware as opposed to staying with the stock one that's on the razor v3m's? Someone point me in the right direction, gracias!

Usually the pros and cons are listed on the pages showing the monster file.
If you're going from Verizon to something else like all your other posts suggest, most other f/ws offer faster response times than VZWs and also, some f/ws have their bluetooth fully unlocked. Verizon limits their phones ability to send things over bluetooth. There's other small functions, but you'll have to look into it.

Well, your profile doesn't say what carrier you have.. so that is a difficult question to give a COMPLETE answer to...

Maybe you should start with -> Cross Flashing... A Primer.... While geared for Verizon users who wish to use a different carrier's firmware, in general, that information applies to all CDMA carriers.
