new tilt owner need info with media plan

ok so i went to att store to get an iphone and almost bought one, then i noticed the tilt and decided to get it instead. it can do everything the iphone can do plus some. so i get it and im starting to go threw the process of picking my plan well im on the family 700 plan with my mom and that is $25 split 50-50. but because i got a tilt i had to get the 39.99 media max plan. iv been told different things. iv been told that its not unlimited on the tilt or any pda phone only smartphones or regular phones get unlimited data and iv been told that in order to connect it to my pc and use its internet i have to get the 59.99 tethering plan but what i don't understand is if i download the wifi router program and connect to my phone with my computer to use the phones network on my laptop how dose att no this and charge me and why would my media max plan not me unlimited just because i have a pda phone. sorry for all the questions but i cant afford a huge bill its already going to be 79.99 a month. lol also if it inst max what is it so i know.

They can tell from the sites you visit that you are not using the phone's browser.

By the way, the FamilyTalk 700 voice plan cost $69.99 for two phones and $9.99 for each additional phone up to three more. What is the $25.00 for?

Did you get the Media Max or the PDA Personal Max? And what's the difference between the two? Only difference seems to be that Media Max is meant for regular cell phones.

i went today and i found out that i have the pda personal max, so i have unlimited data and 1500 text.
