Hello to all !

I currently have a W810i which I love but am really wanting a small SE flip phone. (I'm tired of waiting for the Z750 to become available).

I have been reading the posts regarding both the W710i and the Z710i.

(Note) I am NOT interested in the pedometer.

(A)
Between the 2 flip phones, which has the better:

(1) Reception
(2) MP3 Player
(3) Camera
(4) NO Dropped Calls
(5) Voice Clarity
(6) Bluetooth
(7) Battery Life
(8) Durability
(9) Better Screen for Viewing when Outside
(10) Easy Keypad (for texting)

--------------------------------------------------------------------

(B)
I'm a newbie and don't understand what I'm reading regarding firmware.

(11) Which of the two (W or Z) has the better firmware and WHY

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you muchly ~

The z710i and the w710i are essentially the exact same phone, only in different colors and some minor firmware changes. The w710i has Walkman music player, while the z710i doesn't. Other than that, they can be considered the same phone.

Hope you enjoy it. I know I did. I realize now I should have went ahead and answered some of your questions, even though they are both the same phone.

1.) Reception?
Excellent

2.) MP3 Player?
W710i - Walkman player. Z710i - Standard Player

3.) Camera?
2 megapixels, but subpar

4.) Dropped Calls?
See item #1

5.) Voice Clarity?
Simply exceptional. One of the best earpieces i've ever heard on a phone.

6.) Bluetooth?
Good with A2DP support

7.) Battery Life?
Excellent, typical SE. 8 hours talk time, at least.

8.) Durability?
Decent, though the battery door could fit better.

9.) Screen?
Inside screen is pretty good. However, outside screen is monochome and is perfect for viewing in any kind of light without needing a backlight to see it. One of the main reasons I had this phone!

10.) Keypad?
Average, a little cramped but still good.

Thank you again Radiux36 ! Now I'm even more anxious for my phone's arrival !!

I think the hardest thing for me will be the different location of the "C" button on the Z710i compared to what I'm used to on the W810i. My thumb automatically goes to the "C" button spot when correcting a mistake when I am texting on the W810i. I've noticed from pictures that there is a button (I think it is an 'event' button) between the main keypad and the "C" button on the Z710i. My brain will have to learn to hop over that extra button to correct a mistake.
