No 3G in Los Angeles ?

So I have been using my N95 8gb for awhile and everytime I turned to 3G, there is no signal at all but has a little 3G icon.....

I live in area code 90034, which is culver city.

can anyone tell me if there is just no coverage or am I doing something wrong?

Do you have one that has US bands 3G? (850/1900) If you do, then you've come to learn that at&t's LA network blows chunks.

Yep, you're not going to get 3G in Los Angeles on that phone.

is there a way to update your phone to the right 3G band? or is it some sort of hardware thing?

sorry i am little new at this, did't know that 3G has different bands......

No there isn't, however, Nokia is releasing a N95 8GB with the US 3G bands, so you could sell what you have now, and get that when it comes out, if you want 3G with that model.
