ok i just updated , i had to downgrade to 1.0.2 before i could update, at one point when i launched itunes it said to me if i want to restore my backup , i selected yes and over half way through it froze the iphone so i had to restore again blah blah and then i got to the same point and it asked me if i want to restore my backup of contacts etc so i chose no i just said set up as new iphone and then i proceeded, all worked fine , im on 1.1.2, how do i restore my backup now as in my contacts etc? when i go to settings in itunes settings menu i see that my back up is there but how do i choose to restore it?

if you see your backup, just click on it. it should highlight.
