Hey guys,
I've uploaded a few movies to my iPhone, in .m4v format, that I don't want to transfer back to my PC and again down to the iPhone through iTunes.
So I installed MobileFinder.app through Installer and can browse to the location where I uploaded the movie files.
Now in Finder, when I double-tap on the .m4v file, it asks me to "Open With", which gives me a list of all the installed Apps that I have.
I've tried to select the MobileMusicPlayer.app (iPod), MobileSafar.app and YouTube.app without any success - as in, the apps open, but they don't play the file; they just go to the previously loaded URL or last played song/video, as though I launched them directly from the dock.
Is there a way to play them directly from the iPhone by launching them from the Finder?
Would I need to install another App to play them?
Alternatively, can the iPhone act as a web server so that can I just point Safari to localhost:// and give the appropriate path to the .m4v file?
Thanks!
