VX8700 Java Bypass for Telus?

Well, I've followed the tutorial for the Rogers TU720... It dead ends at the part where I open the file system. There is no LGapp directory. I've found the files for individual java apps, but changing them to trusted doesn't do anything. It also doesn't help me install any applications through the web since the phone still won't accept random java applications.
I guess what I'm saying is, has anyone discovered how to bypass Java security on the Telus flip version of the phone? I've tried digging around, but I've come up with nothing.
