Anyone noticing that on the new I-355 extension you have a large amount of dropped calls?

I just got a BlackJack II and it's terrible on I-355 south. I drop calls south of 55 until I get to about 159th st. It might be my BlackJack II, I don't recall my 8525 doing this but I didn't talk on that phone as much.

Or is it my BlackJack II? It seems to drop more calls than the 8525 did, but it's pretty consistent along I-355.

really? never noticed that before. I remember traveling down 355 south when it first opened that sunday at like 2 in the morning and there was nobody on it. i was talking on my cu500v for a long while and never had a drop, although i dont know if it was exactly where i was at. I wonder if i was the first to travel it? in any case, I think ill take a look next time i travel on 355 south. FYI, remember that when they made 355 south it was through a bunch of open area and stuff. There would not normally be cell towers where parts of this expressway recently went up. Most cell providers blanket the expressways in chicago but since this is a recent addition i dont know if any mobile providers had a chance to put towers up along 355 S yet.

Yeah, I figured coverage might not be completely perfect, but I'm trying to determine if it's something I need to swap out the BJ2 during it's 30 day exchange period, or if it's just the coverage. It's dropping calls elsewhere too.

just tell them that you have never expierenced this before and have them replace your phone and or sim. might as well while you can. when i used to sell verizon and what not, id exchange things left and right for customers cause i didnt care. just explain to them what is going on and ask for a replacement. i dont see why they would give you a problem. then again they arent me so to speak...

They have been in the process of updating the 3g network in the chicagoland area the last week or so. We had a bunch of people with blackjacks come into our store with reception problems over the last few days (as well as any other 3g phone we sold) and it seems like they are testing new HSDPA software or something and lots of dropped calls are happening.
