Hi W580i w Rogers unbranded help.

hey ! nice forum !. to start.. i had a nokia 5300. when i discovered how to unbrand it, few weeks later, i broke it , so i got that w580i from a friend and it's now unbranded with Setool lite 2.

everything works fine except if some1 calls me and he's not in my contact list, i dont see his network name, i only see the number. SirTrini has already found a way to solve that. ( http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1234015 ) The last file i need to fix it is W580_R8BA024_MAIN_NAM_1_LA_RED52.mbn . ive done a lot of search on google and SE forum and except Topsony, i didnt see that file anywhere. Could someone help me out? does anyone has a download link or could send me the main file? Before i forget, does anyone has the original ( or good ) acoustic files for w580i? ive seen much of acousic files but since i debranded my SE, it looks like the ear speaker is "too loud" .. the sound break when i speak to other people. Thank you.

Remove SIM-Lock patch generator v2.1 ( http://simox.5gbfree.com/site/download.php?view.9 ) ( didnt tested yet with R8BA024 , i need another sim card to try ) TUTO:

Are all Rogers phones supposed to tell you the Network that a call is coming from??

Did you pay extra for that? I'm new to Rogers from Telus.

What about people that are in your contact list, does it tell you their Network?

No, only if you pay an extra, rogers will tell you the network name. If the contact is already in your contact list, it will display the contact name, if not, it will show you the network name and his number. Ive downloaded the main NAM from topsony ( yeah lol cant wait :P ), i didnt had a call yet to test it but as soon as i know that it works correclty, ill post it!.

Hmm I see, thanks for the info!

By the way, are you having any call quality issues with call quality with your debranded W580i? Sometimes I have issues with where the sound cuts out for half a second every few seconds... haven't really used the phone much when it wasn't debranded though...

I'm also used to Telus reception and it's much better in most areas than Rogers! ;P

No, no calls issue, and i have a good reception almost everywhere with rogers, i had virgin mobile before ( on Bell network) , and the reception was really bad ( couldnt use the line in building, or as soon as i get out of montreal i had a bad reception ). the only thing new with my w580i, key 2 and 7 are now cracked plus the main "play" button is broken, it still works but there's a plastic piece missing.

For you keys being cracked did you see if rogers will replace the phone? Mine just broke now, I wanna send mine in as it's less than 2 months old. Any word if they will accept an unbranded phone?

hey where did you get the setoolite v2 from i can only get the 1.1 version but this does not support the w580i cheers
