I hope someone can help me here. I've had my o2 online PAYG sim enabled for GPRS & MMS. I received an email from mycare@o2 telling me it was done & giving me the details for setting up GPRS & MMS. I've followed the instructions to the letter, i've double checked, i've treble checked but i just can't send a MMS at all.
When i click on send it fires up and says sending 8kb (or however big it is) then when its completed says, Disconnecting... Disconnected... Send Failed Please Retry.
Any ideas?

Wait a day or 2 to make sure the service provider has entered your details on the system.

This may not help but I had exactly the same symptoms only on Vodafone. It drove me mad for a while trying to sort it and in the end I phoned their technical helpline who confirmed...

that MMS wasn't enabled on my account

This despite the 3 separate confirmations I'd had that it was. You've probably double-checked with them but the symptoms sound the same

Thanks, i phoned them up again (damn 50p min number) and you're right they hadn't enabled MMS.
Why is it that when you ask people to do something they don't do it! If i ask for GPRS & MMS to be added then i expect it to be added, not half done then wait for me to complain.
I've just sent a MMS to my mate who's got a genie sim in his P800 and all he got was a link to logon to o2 and get the message that i just sent him. Is that normal?

Depends if your operator has enabled cross-network MMS. I thought they all had but I could be wrong...

They have but in this instance it was o2 to o2 (genie) anyway.

Assume he has MMS enabled? Don't know much about Genie and O2

AFAIK to receive a MMS you only have to have a MMS compatible phone? at least thats what the guy i sent it to said.

Never really thought of that. Is he sure?

Your mate's genie has not being activated for MMS. his P800 has MMS capability.
