Hp IPaq Problems

I am having a major problem guys, my Ipaq runs fine when its on the charger, no problem at all. Now when I turn it on, the screen flickers, then turns off, sometimes its at the startup, and sometimes its at the screen. It also flickers when i access the internet or any data. Any ideas guys? I have tried and tried, I also tried the battery cover trick, but it was no good.
