My jog wheel is stuck

I am ready to cry. The jog wheel on my 7290 is slightly pushed in ( not sure how) and now when you scroll through the menu, it selects everything. I called my carrier who then directed me to RIM. They want to charge me $180.00 to fix my BB. That's not an option for me right now. Does anyone have any experience with this, or any idea how to fix it???I would appreciate any help.

I'm sure you can find one on ebay or other online stores for a lot cheaper than 180. Sure you'd have to change your PIN on your contact info but if that doesn't matter then that's your best bet.

Alternatively, you could look for an independant Blackberry repair shop online.

Have you tried to open the case? or at least loosen it to see if something is obstructing the wheel? Remove the battery and loosen or remove the screws beneath it, there might be a few snaps here and there too. I'm sure you can find some disassembly instructions somewhere, try blackberryforums.com... not sure how much of a tech you are but i'd at least to give it a shot, might save you a few bucks and even save you from scrapping ur berry.

I have seen this before.
There is a tiny Dish shapped button that is the switch for the Click part of the wheel.
If the wheel gets bumped hard or sometimes they just go bad the don't pop back out when they should and it is puching the click option all the time.
That little dish shapped part needs replaced.
I have used all the ones from my junk phones but maybe you could find one on Ebay.
Anyone that like to tear in to things like that should be able to replace it for you...
