Treo 650 apps on card not showing up

So I have a few of my apps on an SD card and two of them (TCPMP and Easy Calc) don't show up under all, I have to go to the card to access them, although NVBackup which is also on the card shows up fine. This is pretty frustrating, how can I fix it?

Also can I put the same app in multiple categories?

Thanks for any help.

NVBackup probably makes a copy of itself in RAM that stays there. Apps on the card won't show up in All--they are only in the Card category. This is a limitation of the built-in app launcher, and it's why add-on launchers are popular; most allow you to put the icons for any app--whether in RAM (internal) or on the card--in any category.

You can't put the same app in more than one category. Add-on launchers allow you to make "shortcuts" to apps on the card, though, so you can move an app's icon to one category and create a shortcut to put in another category. You can't have more than one shortcut, though, so you can only have a total of two icons for any one app.

Ok, thanks, that's good to know. Is there a certain launcher that is better than any other ones?

That's kind of like asking whether Ford or Chevrolet is the better brand--there are people who will swear by either one. Two of the most popular are LauncherX and ZLauncher. LauncherX is easier to use "right out of the box," with minimal tweaking necessary, but it has fewer features than ZLauncher (which can be customized like crazy) and hasn't been updated in a couple of years. ZLauncher seems to be updated pretty regularly.

(I use LauncherX myself, on a Tapwave Zodiac 1 PDA.)

Alright, I'll try both out. Thanks for all the help, I really appreciate it.

Hey, no problem. I think both have trial periods anyway; 30 days, I think, for LauncherX. Not sure about ZLauncher.
