Here is the story.I wanted to transfer pictures from V3c to PC and found that verizon crippled that phone (late version ....04) so I wanted to downgrade to ...02. downloaded RSD Lite and drivers and ...02 software (by the way many links to rapidshare are dead) . My downgrade FAILED . and now my V3c starts with blue motorola logo "BOOTLOADER USB INI ". and RSD LITE does not see it anymore as V3c but MSM6500.
1) I did it on laptop IBM T42 P4 1.5ghz 1gb of ram XP SP 2 - I dont have desktop.
2) I beleave I had all 4 drivers instaled.

here is kind of same stuff happend to someone else
http://www.howardforums.com/archive/topic/883698-1.html
but I did not find solution there.
Question . is it still possible to save pictures which been on the pnone ? and if phone is still fixable ? thanks in advance . (would really apreciate if some one reply to my email too )

does any body knows the solution ?

Is it ok to use laptop for flashing ? (read somewhere that it is not recomended).

Hello:

Here's some things you can try. First of all, flashing on a laptop doesn't really matter just as long as it does NOT lose power. Now, a list of things to try. And also, Flash MSM6500 is just the basic BIOS Bootloader for the Motorola RAZR (and I think KRZR) family of phones.

- Make sure the flash file is not for a GSM phone, but rather for a CDMA phone. To do that, pull up the flash file in RSD Lite, ane make sure that in the right panel, the word GSM is not anywhere in the description.

- Ensure that the file that you are trying to use is not for a V3i, V3t, V3xx, etc., but rather for either a V3c or V3m. Nothing else will suffice.

Try these, and reflash it, and see if it works. If it doesn't, I have links to some flash files that you could try (for Verizon, Alltel, Cricket, and US Cellular.)

Also, for the V3c, you may want to try MultiFlashFlex that is included with PST.

MultiFlashFlex will be in the program file that you installed PST, so you can only access it from PST's program files once you've installed it. I believe the default is C:\Program Files\Motorola\PST

You can't "get" the MSM6500 software..that is the base software that is on your phone. If you're talking about needing/getting PST, MultiFlashFlex, RSD, or RSD Lite, it is AGAINST forum rules to post links to those softwares, so you have to find it yourself.

Not that I've ever come across.

I'm working on getting a V3a Alltel monster pulled from my mom's phone. In the meantime, just a short hint (and please tell me if this is not allowed!), to find these resources such as RSD Lite and PST, go to The Pirate Bay and use BitTorrent to download them.
