ok so i looked into the whole tethering setup with the att tilt/TYTN II and this is what i found. theres no way for att to realy for a 100% fact tell your tethering using WMWifiRouter and im told that even using the usb or bluetooth there still no way for them to know for certain. what they do now is what most users goto with there browser and how much they will use there phones browser. so what im asking is if i decide to use my computers browser instead of my little phones browser but im just using it to check mail and check post on the wonderful howard forums lol. how will they no im tethering unless i do allot of downloading or a whole lota web surfing. i think that its bullcrap that i pay 40 a moth for unlimited and its not even unlimited its more less what att thinks is the most an average user will use plan, not UNLIMITED. only the 59.99 plan is truly unlimited and $60 for internet that is half as fast as my slowest dsl speed not to mention it cost less to send it via air then threw land lines. hopeful one day these prices will go down and 3g will be more widely spread then just big citys.

was there a question in there?

no there really isn't a way for them to tell if you're tethering or not. However if you consistantly use gigabytes of bandwidth a month they may take an interest in you and start looking at the types of traffic you are sending and receiving, the types of files you're downloading, etc and if you are found to be in violation of your terms of service they can bill you for the data you've used.
