Is there an Upgrade Firmware for this phone???

If not, What is the Original Firmware forthis phone before Tmobile installed there software.

I want to make it the original HTC Phone. I want to remove all Tmobile Stuff of the Phone. (I want it to become the same as it was before Tmo got there hands on it and installed there FW and stuff)

ha! First time in YEARS I'm going to be guilty of a "mee too" post. Sadly, I don't think there are enough of these phones out there yet to get the answer. After much review reading and such, I finally gave in and mine should arrive in a few days. I've been using a (flawless, I still love it) KRZR K1 up to now-- first time I have ventured out of the Moto arena. This will be interesting...

Well, You can see what phones I have above.
All (except the Nextel) are Japanese.

Cant stand the Nextel, But I have to have it for work...

I got this one for free and its acting up badly... Friend ordered an extra one.

Sometimes the Wifi goes crazy (does not connect nometer what i do)
Does not want to sync sometimes

Bad stability isues
Extreamly slow at times (Nothing running in the background)

I want to find the Original FW for this phone. the one that HTC relieced it with. I know this is a streach but i'm just trying maybe someone knows something about it.

Been looking around for a while so far.

Found nothing.

Did HTC reliese it under a different name before Tmo got there hands on it.
HTC's Website does not even list it.

I wonder if its posible to install Symbian or Linux on it...
I want to change it as much as posible. The OS preferably.

I dont care if I brick it.

Please if anyone know anything about it, Please post.

Till then, I will keep on searching.

All I know is that it was the HTC Juno and you're right, it doesn't show on the HTC website. I think HTC worked together with TMo to develop this, so you won't be able to find a truly non-branded Juno. still looking for an HTC Fw myself.

on this page from T-Mobile, they mention a firmware upgrade for the Shadow, except the actual file isn't available for download...

the new firmware version is supposed to be 1.11.531.2

As with other Windows Mobile phones - do a hard reset. When you see the message - something along the lines of - software about to be install in x amount of seconds, do a soft reset. This wil prevent all the T-Mo stuff from being loaded. Of course, you will have to know how to load the cab files in the extended rom in order to get MMS, and the like.

Well, I played with there site and this is what i found...

This is the link to the download center... Just change the last 2 numbers from 01 to what ever. Not sure what ID is the shadow... I made it up to 48. getting mad. about to call tmo and complain...

I contacted TMo about this and I got a reply saying that it is a mistake on their site and that they don't currently have a FW upgrade for the Shadow. I'm still trying to make a decision as to whether I should get the Shadow or the Curve and the battery issue concerns me. Of course, with the Curve comes the issue of having to get the BB add ons, and I'm trying to keep costs down.
I don't mean to start a new thread but I'm looking to get a good PDA type phone so I can combine my calendar, to do, contacts, phone etc. The WM6 seems to have more third party apps available as well. If they could just give us a FW upgrade to help out with the horrible battery life. Has anyone out there had a GOOD experience with the Shadow?

it has new features like audio postcard, bundled free music, ringtones, wallpapers and some bug fixes.

new firmware is 1.11.531.5
