So since gmail gave us IMAP there has been the issue of emails downloading either garbled text or blank in the body of the email for good portion of emails.

Gmail acknowledged this issue, but in my search has not clearly spelled out if there is a fix and/or when a fix can be expected.

Did I perhaps miss the fix posted somewhere? Would appreciated any updates from the smart folks that are on here.

No, you didn't miss anything, I still get this problem on occasion.

I'm still using the POP3 settings. Have you tried those instead of IMAP?

Ha...so this is what I currently do...

1) I have IMAP set up as my primary downloading every 15 mins. If an email comes in that I cannot view (happens every single day) then I go to plan 2...

2) I also have POP set up...when option 1 fails me above then I manually download the POP.

It works but ANNOYING!!! Wish gmail team would give this as much priority to fixing as they have to the iPhone issues...but I guess that have to keep the apple fan happy.
