I can't get Missing Sync for the mac to recognize my HTC Touch. Anyone else have this problem? Any fixes?
Thanks

Are you seeing anything come up on the screen at all when you plug in the device to the USB port? There should be a semi-transparent white box that pops up on the screen briefly with a series of dots indicating connection progress. Do you at least get that?
You might want to disconnect any other devices plugged into the computer's USB system. I've also found that I frequently needed to reboot the Mac to keep Missing Sync talking to my WM devices.

Hi,
I just got an HTC Touch (damn no iphone fully supported in Canada!) and am not able to get it to connect to my powerbook. The transparent box pops up and I get two dots, but at that point it stops. On the phone, a little box pops up and I says Device connected, then allows me tp 'Cancel' or 'Hide Status'. But then nothing happens!!!
Any ideas?

Try putting the device in Airplane Mode first. Go into the Communication Manager and shut off the wireless transmitters (phone and Bluetooth).

I hope this helps - It's a simple fix however it worked for me as I couldn't establish a connection with activesync.
Start>settings>connections>usb to pc and be sure to have the "Enable advanced network functionality" box UNCHECKED.
Try to sync after that - I hope this helps.
