WiFi IP phone?

Are there any good "open" WiFi IP phones? I've looked through Best Buy, FutureShop, The Source and even NCIX, and they all seem to just have Skype phones, with a few WLM or Yahoo ones. Nothing so far that would let you use your own.

Sure there are. I know D-Link and Linksys make wireless IP phones for use with any SIP provider. There are also many GSM phones that also can use SIP. I'm currently using Truphone for VoIP on my Nokia E61i.

You'll never find an unlocked wifi phone at a B&M store, unless it's somewhere that caters to hardcore geeks like Fry's. You need to shop for those online.
http://www.voipsupply.com is my favorite source. A web search will reveal others.

I would look at the Linksys WIFI phones as well. I was thinking about getting one but got the Nokia N95 instead so it serves a dual-purpose.
I use Truphone and also have my own Asterisk server setup.

I own and periodically use the Linksys WIP300. It's not the friendliest device to set up, the headset jack does nothing on any of these, and it tends to lock up instead of registering on a new wireless network... but if you're going to be using it in an environment where there's a steady signal (I have four Wi-Fi repeaters running on my property) and you can get past the nasty user interface, go for it.
