Red V3xx on Amazon

I'm planning to extend my contract with ATT on Amazon, and get the Ruby Red V3xx for $24.98.
1) Is that a good price for the phone? Can I get it cheaper anywhere else?
2) I'll be charged a regulatory fee of $1.25 by ATT. Is that normal?
3) Are there any reasons that I should not extend my contract on Amazon?Hidden rules, fees, etc.?

Thank you.

1) Not sure about the pricing elsewhere
2) Yes the regulatory fee is a standard fee/surcharge. You're already being billed for it, look on your most recent statement.
3) With Amazon and most other e-tailers you have to wait 90-120 days before making any changes to your account. i.e., no data plan changes or no voice plan changes. Else they bill you for $120 or some ridiculous amount.

grey V3xx is free with 2yr upgrade at walmart (in store not online). no tax even, since it rings up as 0.00 on the receipt.

Yep free at my Walmart too with 2 year contract. ATT online wants 129 bucks. Walmart also offers the phone for 43 dollars on a 1 year plan.

Other than what Batman said are there any other downsides to extending with Walmart or Amazon. Their prices are excellent and it is no different than buying all the phones I have bought off Ebay thru the years. At least Amazon or Walmart will take a phone back if there is a problem.

My big fear is the person behind the electronics counter at Walmart some how messing up my 450 minute plan and my MM200 plan. I have been off contract for probably the last 4 years and was wondering if they actually fill out a new contract or what.

I have been wanting to try that v3xx and FREE would be nice. It's not like a contract matters anymore I have been with the same company for 15 years.

Didn't mean to hijack your thread Coolboy but I think you would like to hear some of this too.

Thanks for any information
Sammy
