Ok, I have been through all the treads I can find and I am still having problems getting my exchange email. Here's the catch, If I am connected to the network via WiFi at the office exchange through the iphone works great, Once I venture out onto the EDGE network or any other WiFi network it will not get my mail. It tries and say that it completed but the last time checked shows the last successful time not the last time it checked!! HELP!!

Does your company allow IMAP access outside of the company network? If they don't, then what you're experiencing is as expected.

Yes they do, I am the IT Director, I have everything setup in exchange, I have noticed that If I switch it to SSL I can't connect at all, but if I leave it open, I can still access it internally!

Maybe you are experiencing the slowness of EDGE. I noticed on my iPhone that it would say its finished but in reality it was still downloading and took up to 5 minutes to complete. The problem was the fact that the iPhone checks all folders in your account for new mail (1000's in my case) both public and private. To resolve this I simply put /Inbox as my IMAP prefix and things are much quicker now. Hope this helps.
