Obviously Sony Ericsson are in for a major announcement with a spanking new K-series Cyber-shot handset that is obviously loaded with goodies. The Chinese-based website pconline.com.cn has revealed details and live photos of the device.

Since there are a lot of comments going around if this phone is a Chinese fake, we can assure you that it's the real deal, as we've seen an actual working prototype of the device - and it even had that same gross color on.

Styled in a conservative form factor and a rather controversial color combo (read: we are not buying it), the new K-series handset sports a 3 megapixel auto focus camera (it's not a 5 megapixel one, trust us) and a dual-LED flash. But that's not all that this handset is about.

Unknown Sony Ericsson model leaked

This new puppy will be among the first Sony Ericsson handsets to feature a built-in GPS receiver (remember Sony Ericsson W760, right?). The software part of the GPS navigation is ensured by the Location Services menu we also saw in the Sony Ericsson W890, which includes applications such as Google Maps, Favorite places, etc. This time however the menu has an even expanded functionality in order to make the most out of the integrated GPS receiver.

The new Sony Ericsson handset will be positioned somewhere above Sony Ericsson K770 and Sony Ericsson K850. If you ask us though it looks rather reminescent of some older Sony Ericsson T-series handsets, so maybe a T-series designation will be more like it.

We are yet to see the real announcement of the device somewhere in the near future - perhaps in the beginning of February just as last year.

And since it's obviously SE leaks time, here's a video ad that shows another unannounced Sony Ericsson phone - the Sony Ericsson Z660, thanks to justamp.blogspot.com

nothing too exciting.. but hey at least it's not another drawing...

I highly doubt that's going to be a K-series. I don't know why they are saying it's "loaded with goodies", either. It looks more like an upgrade to the T650i. It'll probably be a T660i. It's just mid-range.

well.. dual flash, 60fps video recording, and the first new Se screen 1.6 mill colours..

but again the specs aren't confirmed of course..

The new soon to be K series looks ugly, don't have xenon flash, looks like T series model, the color is weird and what's up with the screw thing to open the back cover.... I don't know, just a mess to me.

I think the front is nice looking but the back is fugly. Plus, 3 megapixels without xenon flash...nor is it thin to make it special. So what's the point here?

if this comes out sooner rather than later Id jump on it, looks like there is a secondary camera there. NA 3g and im all over it. im sick of waiting for other phones to be releases and delayed. cough z750 ******* phone

Like others have stated...nothing too exciting. The color looks a little better from the 2nd set of pics because it seems it's not as lighted as opposed to the set from GSMArena. Still, I'd prefer if the color was just a tad bit darker for slightly more class.

With the PSP menu system, I hope that it will be quad band (at least), and US 3G support (not that big of a deal though). If it's just another tri band model with only a 900/1800/1900 variant, then I will just have to pass on this one. If it is quad band, I don't see myself buying it when it does launch, as the price will be comparable to that of a K850i. If anything else, it would be a decent upgrade to my K550i.

Its K-series no doubt. It has the cybershot branding. It is probably the K810 successor since it has the number 3,6 and 9 keys that function as camera keys(like in the K810).

This is the first phone in a long time that I've been looking forward to from SE. After a string of low end phones, this phone really stands out. The T-series look and the GPS makes it a winner to me.

Edit: Wow, I just went over to GSM arena to read comments and everyone there is bashing the phone. At least this phone's selling feature isn't an AM radio like the R300. Hopefully SE wont mess this one up.
