Touch Help!!! Please fast!!!

Okay, when using my touch, im scared of it suddenly switching from wifi to GPRS (which is data provided by phone provider). Is there anything that tells me which service im currently using? (wifi or gprs) and is there anything that notifies me when i switch?

EDIT: oh yes, also what is the difference between work and internet?

If you were on EDGE you would see in the top of the WM user interface where the reception is located, instead of an antenna you would see an "E". Also when it switches usually a balloon would appear that says connecting to GPRS/EDGE and that would come down from the Comm Manager symbol. I dont think theres much to do to stop it from going on, as this was discussed on another thread. Just get used to checking the top of your phone before you start using messenger or IE.

Ahh sorry i solved the problem if anyone wants the solution....

go into connection settings for rogers internet...change it from internet.com to fake.com or whatever you want. as long as its not internet.com, it wont charge and switch automatically

Just did the changes as suggested, works great, everything it tries to connect to GPRS/EDGE it says remote party has stopped this connection and turns off automatically, wonderful solution.

Ya you dont wanna get charged data cause of that from Rogers. They charged me $79 for 1.5mb data last month cause the connection would sometimes switch to Edge, or the weather would auto download...
