Well here is the big project i have been working on:

now you can find / listen / download any single

or you can search by album title

or you can search by artist

--might be a few bugs (please report any to me via a PM)--
search might take a few seconds as it will return thousands of results
this is only for music at the moment

for some reason i can only listen and download the songs form cdn0.howardforums.com..if i try to listen or download songs, and they are on the plain howardforums.com server it wont work.

does anyone have this problem, when I click on the dl link a page come up that allow me to listen to the song similar to when I click listen

when I right click to save as i could only dl the page only

It gets like that. Just wait an hour or so and try again. I know for the longest time the site wasn't working at all and then I tried it a few days ago (and today) and was able to get music. It probably crashes as the popularity of the site grows.

all download links redirect to a howardforums page that plays the song. the listen link buffers forever. ideas?

The only problem is that the songs are mostly 128kbps Mp3s. Not really the greatest quality.

Hi Music Legend,

First of all, very interesting site. If (or when, I should say, as you seem very dedicated) it gets to work, it will be a great service.

To elaborate on my problem:

Whenever I click on any song to download, I get redirected here:

Then I'm confused. Where do I go to download the song? I can listen to the song on howardforums.com to my hearts content, but I have no clue where to download it!

if that is the bitrate, that's really cool cause that's what one has to use to make mp3 ringtones on MPT. For some reason it doesn't like mp3's with a higher bitrate. It would save me a little time converting files, that's for sure.

But now downloading works, it is just that the popup player says I need windows media player 11 and I have a mac, so they stopped supporting WMP.

are you continually working on it, changing scripts and stuff? the reason i ask is my bold used to be able to download music from the regular site like crazy, it wasnt the easiest to navigate on my bold but the downloads worked. all of a sudden it stopped working. i can execute a search and submit it, the search will process but my results will never show up...

i still love the site and use it from my laptop but all the music goes to the bold anyways so it would just be so convenient for it to work again

May i once again pose the unanswered question of, How is this legal? Or how has this post not been locked for piracy? I support music sharing, just curious.

I believe its a foreign server? its the only way to be able to keep it legal if the country the server host is based in, doesnt have an anti-piracy provision. I dont know how it is still not blocked or deleted though. If its not illegal HoFo wouldn't have the need to remove it though.

i haven't looked at the site yet, but isnt it basically that the server isnt holding the content? That the song links to a source containing the music? Would be another way it is less 'illegal' where it is not holding data
