Touchpal problems on HTC Touch!!!

Hey there, I just synced the .cab from CooTek for touchpal v2 onto my device into the My Documents file, and installed it from there. Did a soft reset, and then selected Touchpal as the input method, clicked ok, and tried to test it out. Still have the normal keyboard, and nothing changed. I soft reset again, same results. Then I decide that I'll just reinstall the .cab again, as it says that it removes the older version of Touchpal. Once again doesn't work, i hit the options button for Touchpal when i was in the Input Menu, and it says that "The selected input method could not be loaded". Sigh...so frustrating, any help? If problem can't be solved, can anyone tell me how to remove the program?

It sounds like you know what you are doing, but I'll suggest the obvious since no one has offered you anything... There is the "remove programs" option in the settings menu and also the Add/Remove Programs option on your PC in Activesync. I would expect it to show up in both of those.

Thanks I didn't try the "remove program" option on the phone as when I tried to remove it via Activesync it didn't show up and discouraged me from looking further. I'm thinking I have a corrupt .cab, so I'm going to look around until I find a better one.

Not sure I understand. If you are looking for a good CAB for Touchpal, the standard version is available free (ie not a trial) from the Cootek site

If you are looking for a better keyboard, that's a different story. I tried the SPB full keyboard. Pretty good, but still had a few problems. I have been giving the Touch Keyboard (two letters per button) a go and am pretty happy with it.

I've had Touchpal installed and working great on my HTC Touch for the past few months. When v2 came out, I bought it and have been using it successfully for the past month.

Outside of reinstalling the cab or exe from the Cootek site again, I don't know what to say except to hard reset and try again with a fresh device/install.

But I can verify that this input method works fantastic on the Touch.

Ohh I've seen it in action, and know it works. Sadly its choosing not to do so on my Touch. I just uninstalled it, after a session of soft resets and installations and such. So if anyone wants to send me a PM bout the steps for installing this on a Touch that I dont want to hard reset, I'm SOL lol. I'm just tired of trying over and over, and more or less knowing i'm not doing anything wrong per say.
