Can anyone get back to me with the unlocking code for my Rogers HTC Touch phone. I would like to put HK and Manila SIM cards and require the unlocking code to allow the SIMs to operate.

Thanks

Adrian

Hey, I'm planning on buying a Touch from Rogers directly, w/o a contract or a plan, and I'll be using my Fido SIM on it. My question is, after I unlock it following the instructions in the link, would it still be covered by Rogers if something goes wrong? Or would I have to send it to HTC directly?

I don't understand why you would buy a 'locked' phone from Rogers, then unlock it. Unless you sign up with them for a lengthy contract, they'll charge you a hefty price for one of their phones. Why not contact a place, such as Superior Gadgets up in Thornhill, and purchase an unlocked phone from them. Great support and service.

you don't have to unlock the rogers touch because it will work with fido sim cards.

1point8T, thanks a lot, I realized that as soon as I put in the SIM. I was sort of surprised, but hey, I'm not questioning it. kidcom, I was unaware of the contact in Thornhill, but I will look into it for future reference. Although I must say, searching on ebay I found the Touch was maybe $30 less than what it cost me from Rogers, but it'd be harder to deal with any warranty issues. This way I can just walk into the store and have it repaired if it isn't a major issue.
