Can I use the HTC PPC6800 from Alltel on Verizon? I called customer support and was told I can't due to incompatible frequencies. However, the HTC PPC6800 is a dual band 800/1900 mhz phone.

Any help would be appreciated.

Honestly, just sell it and get the VX6800. Same phone, different carrier.

I suppose I could sell it but it was given to me that I feel funny about making money off it. But that is the most easy solution

from my experiance with CDMA phones... eventhough you are going from one CDMA carrier to another, its not going to work.

Hold on to it for a fe months. Verizon is going to allow people to start bring their own equipment. I think that it just has to be CDMA
