pantech duo problem

i bought a duo from ebay and it told me i need a puk code which i got but when i put it in it keeps giving me a sim failure do you guys have any advice since when i call att they tell me to go call pantech and pantech says i am not the original owner i did what the phone wants but will not work

i talked to the guy and he said he tried to unlock it himself but it did not work but i called att and they gave me the right code and did not work and they were as confused as i was i was thinking i have a cingular 3g sim card, and was thinking if i put a att 3g sim card it might read it better and work

no it did not work so i returned the phone to the seller

I had the PUK deal with my N75. I registered on ATT online and it gave me the correct PUK code on the site. You could've tried that.
