I tired it via itunes with the shift click method it gives and error (as expected I read) Then tried ibrickr to jailbreak the thing.

Mainly I want to use 1.1.3 jailbroken. It was 1.1.2 OTB then upgraded to 1.1.3. I would like to downgrade>>>jailbreak>>>upgrade back to 1.1.3 is this possible yet? I am very new to the iPhone and it appears not possible yet (without opening up the iphone which I dont want to do) just am making sure.

You can try this as long as you have a WIFI gateway handy.

Im also on 1.1.3 and i downgraded and used apptapp to force the phone out of recovery mode. once im out i get an incorrect sim . so i used the method were you use the number pad to get into the phone and got wifi on and got to jailbreakme.com. once i got there tho it crashes safari like its sopost to but it doesnt jailbreak. Any ideas?

and after jailbreakme.com worked? and are you on 1.1.3 jailbroken now?

Hell i cant even get out of recovery mode. Everything I try says it wont work on 4.6 bootloader. hopefully someone can do a walkthrough for someone who bought a iphone recently 1.1.2 OTB with 4.6 then upgraded to 1.1.3. and now wants to jailbreak it. (didnt know about jailbreaking and stuff till after I did 1.1.3)

Yes. It was a few hours of messing around with lockdownd after the upgrade. Everythign works well now!

i have 2 iphones, one week 29 and other week 50, the 29 were previously unlocked with anysim, both of them r updated to 1.1.3 and screwed up, i already downgrade week 50 to 1.1.1, i have a couple turbosims now, is it possible to use them as a phone with turbosim????

aghh...i finally got it to kick out of dfu and tried to acces the dial pad thing and eventually it froze like its supposed to i restarted and now its back in dfu

Here's what I did that worked.. Downgrade to 1.1.1 you'll get a 1015 error thats fine, i'm not gonna post how to do that just search..

1. enter *#307# press call, now use the back button on the top of your screen to remove *#307# , now enter 0 , press call, press answer, press hold, press decline. And you get to the contact list. And thereafter every time you push the homebutton you just slide the "emergency call" slide, then enter 0 , press call, press hold, press decline.

2. Push contacts, end call and you get called again, this time hit decline and you access one of menus with favorites, you can edit contacts, do a test ride on keyboard, take photos etc.

3. Now edit a new contact and type in "prefs://11" as web-address and "http://jailbreakme.com" as an additional URL.

4. When you tap "prefs://11" you can now select your favorite WiFi gateway.

5. Now press the home button and move the slider to the dial-pad.

6. Now you can go back to the contact list by Dialing 0, push call, then answer, then contacts, then hit the "http://jailbreakme.com" web address you typed in.

7. Scroll down to the bottom, click "Install AppSnapp". Safari will exit and you'll return to your springboard. Wait a few min and then run Ibrickr. Don't reboot as you will rnd up back in dfu. When IBrickr completes follow the instructions on the WIKI here http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=604 start at step 13 and you should be good.

the problem is the downgrade to 1.1.1. I throw it into resotre mode and do the shift click on restore for the 1.1.1 file. Then it will error out (expected) then im stuck. I cant use the keypad as it still has that plug into itunes logo on the screen. and Ibrickr doesnt work to restore it either.
