playing videos on htc touch

i just got an htc touch with bell, im trying to play videos that i put on my micro sd card. they are in mp4 format right now, but they dont seem to play i thought htc supported mp4?,
anyone know what format htc touch supports, and if there is a free video converter?
also is there something im missing or doing wrong in playing videos in windows media from micro sd card?

download tcpmp. it's a free program that will allow you to play them. I'm a novice with this as well and it worked for me.
