I am syncing via my companies exchange server 2003, and it works fine remotely, but whenever I sync up or connect via the USB cable to my computer(which is on the company network), as soon as AS4.5 starts connecting, I lose my connection with my network(goes offline). Once I disconnect the usb, it will go back online. Has anybody ever seen this - is there something in AS I don't have set right or is it something on the network that could be causing this conflict.

Thnaks for your help.

If you mean you lost the network of your phone, it is normal. ActiveSync connection will supress your cell network connection and re-direct all your internet traffic to your AS connection. If you mean you lost your desktop's network connection, it is not normal.

I mean the network on my computer - which is obviously an issue. Any ideas what would cause it

Do you have any firewall applications on your laptop? Are you using a company provided laptop? Your IT department might have some restriction setup on there.

Make sure AS is allowing you to make wireless connections while connected to the computer, and that the computer is connecting to 'The Internet' in AS's connection settings.

You may have to delete your device/uninstall ActiveSync to accomplish the first one.

Actually i found unchecking "make wireless connections while connected" seemed to have solved my problem with my decktop PC
