HTC is out of Touch.

I have sooooo many Sprint HTC Touch problems I probably can't even fit them all on this post.

1. The HTC Touch is SOOOO SLOW!! ahhh!!!!
2. Occasionally when I turn the screen off, I can't turn it back on, so I have to restart it...
3. What is with the touch screen? My screen has so many dents and scratches on it from having to push so hard on it with my stylus!
4. The touch keyboard is horrible too...downloaded PCM keyboard but it still isn't working, I type the letter a and it comes out as S. This needs to stop.
5. The screen is wayyy too small...so hard to browse the internet too, why must I have to constantly use my stylus to scroll down?
6. Screen is reallllyyyy irresponsive...I try to call someone by dialing the numbers on the screen, it delays by about 3 seconds before the actual number is dialed into the phone. Same with everything else. Ohh I just clicked on an application, but wait, I have to wait 10 more seconds for that to open up too
7. Battery life is absolutely a DISASTER. Worst battery I have ever seen. It seems that everytime I charge it it losses power instead of gaining power.
8. The camera. THE CAMERA. OH my goodness. Its a 2.0 megapixel camera but it acts like a VGA x4 or something. If I make the SLIGHTEST movement, the whole picture is blurred.

If anyone has a solution to any of these problems (I searched A LOT by the way) please let me know.

Until then, I am fed up with this wm6 stuff

who's fault is it that you bought the phone? you should have done more research before you bought the phone. why don't you over clock it? take the phone back if you hate it so much. there are some people in this world that don't even have cell phones. you should look up to those people.

Thats great.

yep...don't beat yourself up. just take it back, try a different one or a different phone. good luck!

Well, I was more or less happy with my HTC touch but then one day recently it decided to delete everything on my memory card and all programs I had added to it. Now my MS voice command (best thing for a PPC ever) doesnt work and my itech laser keyboard (again a great thing as it is a full size keyboard that laser displays on a table and makes the damn phone useful as a palm top) doesnt work and now its just a phone as it doesnt have any music left on it. I am reluctant to do all the work to set it all up again as it may just delete it all by itself again tomorrow

Buying a new phone is kinda out of my league.

Think I'll try overclocking it from 400mhz to 560mhz. What do you think?

But please, give me suggestions, I don't want to mess up my phone, because that means I'll have to go back to my old phone.

1. Slow? Please show me a phone that is amazingly fast that is running WM6 maybe you just need to be more patient. Has pretty good specs compared to other phones.

2. That is a known bug in most WM phones.

3. Learn how to use a screen protector. Also try realigning your screen and tap as lightly as you can when doing it. Some people say that helps.

4. Learn how to use a touch keyboard. There are a million out there that you can install and use. If you can't find one that works for you then honestly your just not trying hard enough.

5. Screen is way too small? You must be comparing it to the iphone screen because honestly how big of a screen do you expect on a cellphone? I never use the styles to scroll down and have no troubles.

6. No one ever said WM6 was responsive, maybe you should have did more research instead of just crying about it after even though you had the chance to return it before 30 days.

7. Yes battery life sucks, did you try the registry hacks? Seems to help a lot for people including myself.

8. Camera does suck, there is also a hack to get higher resolution pics with the camera. My only complaint is I wish it had a flash.

Next time you buy a phone learn how to do some research and learn how to return a phone in 30 days if you don't like it

2nd that tapping the screen as lightly as possible when aligning it helps, however, I am slightly ashamed to say I've returned 6 HTC touch's and I'm on my 7th. Even though I am extremely delecate and careful with all of my electronics, these Touch's just seem to either stop working (ie: Will not even turn on anymore), the screen develops problems (becomes extremely un-resposive no matter how much I re-align it *no I do not carry it in a pocket ever either*) or the build quality is sub-par; I have returned units with crooked screens and crooked LCD's under the screens.

My 7th touch so far works perfectly and seems to be assembled correctly as well. This is my first HTC product, and I love WM6, infact so much I have forgotten all of the problems I have experienced with Symbian and other smartphone OS's, it's just HTC's quality control I question! It's frustrating but I would still take this phone over anything I have ever owned in the past.

Are you running a bunch of programs on it, that might slow the OS? I find the touch to be quite quick for a PDA. Its certainly faster than my PPC6700 was.

Haven't had this happen with my Touch yet, but it's pretty common to PDAs. (Well, to WinMo ones...)

Dude, you should NEVER have to press so hard you're damaging your screen. Take it back. If you can't, I know there are registry hacks out there to increase the sensitivity of your screen. Try that maybe?

Can't help you there. Try the above-mentioned hack to change the sensitivity... maybe that'll help? Getting used to the Touch keyboard takes some effort, but I find I'm getting used to it. Not bad...

Small..compared to what? This is a pretty decent size screen for a QVGA PDA. I use the Touch's swiping motions to scroll... and that works quite well.

Not sure if you are experiencing delays that are expected with WinMo, or if you have a bunch of apps running that slow your unit down. Shouldn't be that bad...

Again, my experience is the opposite. For a PDA, the battery life is quite good. Make sure you turn off BT and other comm protocols that use power if you aren't using them. Drop the brightness of your screen a bit... there are lots of things you can do to increase battery life. However, don't expect a PDA to have a battery life like a cell phone. Doesn't work like that.

Can't help you there. I have yet to find a camera on a phone OR PDA that I liked. Low res, fixed focal length cameras aren't very useful ... not to me anyway. That's why I bought a good camera.

WM6 can be a dog... but it usually runs smoother than you seem to be experiencing. If you expect it to perform like a cell, you can't. But WinMo devices are quite powerful, and can be a hell of a lot of fun. I'm on my second now, with little to complain about. (I *do* wish the battery life was longer... but there is only so much you can do when users demand more and more functionality in smaller and smaller devices...)

Some of the other things I can understand how you might not know what you're getting until after you've gotten it but how is the screen size and after the fact problem? Did you know even look at the phone to see what the screen size was? Did it somehow get smaller after you bought it? Are you just coming up with extra "problems" to make your list look longer?

Wow I just got the HTC touch from alltel last week and I would say its the best phone I've had!!!! I love the fact that its full featured WM6 but still small. My only complaint is no option to change the quick launch programs when I bring up my touch menu.

Any link to this hack ?

I got my Touch since november and really like it btw. It has a few downfalls but find a phone that hasn't...
