Touch Connects to GPRS by Itself

My Touch connects to GPRS by itself. I am aware of programs that can stop GPRS from connecting or to change the address, but I wonder what program is causing the problem. I don't have any applications on that I am aware of. I would prefer to just have GPRS on when I am using it rather than for something running in the background. I have no push email, the weather update is set to manual, no windows update. Does anyone know what else could cause it to connect by itself (even when phone is asleep)?

There is no danger to it connecting to GPRS if no programs are using data.

Download a data monitor to see if any data is actually being transfered. - http://www.efficasoft.com/gprsmonitorppc_w.html

Check windows live, activesync (guess you already did that) and make sure they aren't doing anything, windows live messenger too (make sure that's off when not using it!) any GPS map update software.. etc

I am not sure what else might be causing it, trying to think of other apps.

This happens to me as well on my TyTN II. I find that it always connects after I disconnect from either Wifi or Activesync and after using Windows Live messenger. Even if I log out of WLM and its not running in the background, my device constantly connects to the data network when I cancel it until I soft reset.

Dunno what exactly is causing it, but I've been able to recreate the issue how I explained.
