I looked all through the PDF manual with no luck, how do you install new programs in WM6?

Specifically, the HTC Tytn II?

I have the *.cab file sitting on my computer, but not sure how I need to get it to the device and then be installed.

I am on a WinXP Home machine with MS Activesync 4.5.0

you copy the file to the phone and then navigate to where it is stored on the phone. Click on it and it should self install.

You should be able to do it two ways with the cab file:

1) ActiveSync: AS creates a folder on your computer, which is directly linked to the folder on your phone (like My Shared Folders, if you've ever used it) Just copy your cab file into that folder on your desktop, connect the phone to the computer and make sure both AS on the phone is on, as well as the AS on the computer. When you do that you should be able to sync the computer with the phone.

2) Using external memory: I believe the TyTn has a microsd slot, did it give you a free sd when you purchased it? If so, if you can grab a card reader/older phone that can connect to the computer and put files onto the SD, then that should work. Copy the cab onto the SD and just plug it into the phone.

Hope this helps

(oh ya, just click the cab and it will self-install)
