my jailbroken 1.0.2 overheated and i sent it to apple. They promptly sent me a new phone. The phone is 1.1.2. The interesting thing is it already activated. Out of the box it turned on with out needing activation. I put my old ATT sim card in and it works fine. The rub is that when i hook the phone up to my pc, it wants me to activate the phone. I have searched to wiki and forum and from what i gather 1.1.2 otb can not be jailbroken yet. I hate to re-lock the phone, but is my only option to downgrade to 1.0.2? or 1.1.1? and use jailbreakme? what happens if i run Jailbreakme on my 1.1.2 phone is that going to kill the new phone? Or can i use another program besides itunes to load things onto my activated 1.1.2 phone?

it worked
downloaded 1.1.1, restored firmware to 1.1.1 and used jailbreakme.com
