Blackjack Video Sharing.

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I just got video sharing to work on my blackjack. It was pretty simple to get it working.
You first must have the OFFICIAL WM6
I first had to go on att live chat (on the website) and then I had to ask them to provision my account for video sharing. The service works beautifully. The picture is immaculate.

Just want to share my happiness and findings..

PS. Today was a good day, as I also got google maps my location to work.

Good Luck

Sounds great, yea you cannot use most of the cooked ROMs by Da_G cause he has taken out the Video Share needed AT&T IMS in the advanced connections due to the tendency for unepected switching to it when MEdia Net is required. Also, the CameraApp.exe file in the official ROM is dated Jan. 02, 08. Looks like Video share was something they were tweaking right up to the recent days, which makes some cents, as it is a money maker for AT&T. I just wish they gave a free demo trial, like 30 mins. free, that would help ease some of the frustrations we all went through Here in So. Calif. we are told the 3G was not supporting Video Share, although it works in all other USA 3G locations, maybe that's been fixed or will be soon. I'll try it when we get the green light. I take it, that it comes in full screen? You know, I think you are the first person I have seen/read who has used it. Nice to know it works good!

Dont listen to the 3g not supporting video share BS. It is supported wherever you have 3g.
It comes in full screen and the quality is what is amazing.

The hard part is having your account provisioned to videoshare ppy which is what activates video share.

Good Job ATT.

So I have a BJ 1 with the official upgrade to WM 6, but I don't know what video sharing is. Can someone give me a brief description on how it works on the BJ?

No, you can simply use this forum and searched too.

Some people need to be spoonfed I guess...

At first video share calling was not supported in the Los Angeles area because of capacity. It is now available.

video sharing still would have worked, just poor quality. lol

The feature would be greyed out when you were in a call. There is a thread
about two people testing and discovering the reason was that video sharing was not turned on in the Los Angeles area at that time.

You can only use the features on the network that the carrier allows you to use.

(Mod Edit)

I don't understand how people are so unwilling to help others when they have a question. Half of the responses I see are "google it". I thought it was an appropriate question for this forum. I mean you could get ride of 3/4 of this entire site if you were not allowed to talk about things that you could find on google.

I am curious on how well this works on the BJ, and what requirements the other phone would need, but rather than asking it here i'll save you guys the time of typing "google it" and go do that now. Thanks for nothing.

For simple/common questions, it is best to just search... on HoFo, where they are already talked about. As far as the related question asking about Video Share... yea they should just google it.

As for as your question, that is a legitimate question. I think you have to have another video share capable device. As far as which ones support Video Share, you'll have to visit attwireless.com. I know there are several.

From what I know, it is only one way video. It is a possibility that any video capable 3G phone might be able to stream the video, but I doubt it.

I just got the unlimited messaging within the network for $5 and I just send video clips.
