Has anyone had voice quality issues with the pantech duo? I can barely undersstand people when they are talking half the time.

Is this known issue? Any fixes?

If not, the phone will have to go back....

i have noticed that a lot of calls sound muffled/crappy. It doesnt seem to happen all the time for me though. Specific people havnt been crappy sounding, always clear. if that makes any sense.

I was wondering the same thing though. I just use speaker phone most of the time now just cuz thats the only way I can have a fluid conversation.

Well, I bought a tilt and it is going back. Too slow, too big, too complex. I am not a power user so as long as I have email, web, tether, and pics I am good.

Anyways, I have been narrowing it down. The muffled calls are from callers using blue tooth. Start asking the people you cant understand and see what they say.

Let us know.

Over all, the sound quality is still chit, but it's def. doable most of the time. It's a neat little phone. I like it no matter what the majority says. It does feel cheap, but it's fast and small, and I mean fast!

I tried out the Pantech Duo and dumped it in favor of the Samsung Blackjack II after a couple of days. The poor voice quality was my only major beef with it and a minor beef was the relatively poor battery life. I loved the size and the dual slider though. But at the end of the day, it's a phone. If you have a hard time using it as a phone then all the other stuff begins to become less important to you.

Good luck with it!

Cheers,

I've had the BJ one forever, soooo.... I just bought a battery car charger and keep it charged. I'm either at the desk or in the car so it works.

Call quality is an issue.... so far it's beed doable. I wish they would come out with a different phone....Oh well. Good luck with your black jack.

no1 i talk to has a bluetooth headset, so i can rule that issue out with me. But definetly a good guess.my battery life hasnt been buggin me at all since i got the duo. It does seem to go low out of no where. I only have to charge it every 3 days.

I have been having the same voice quality issues. About half of the time callers sound very clear the other half sound muffled. I also have a BJ2 which sound great all of the time. I prefer the Duo since it is smaller & love the keyboards. I have always been a slider fan. I downloaded a program which lets you enable the slide up to answer calls & slide down to end call which has made the phone a lot more enjoyable.

Taking mine back, call quality is unmanageable. Going to try out the moto q
