I've been reading for literally a week straight trying to gather up info. I just read on marks cdma forum that seem editing on cdma phones is possible but nothing about this new z6m motorola phone that I have. Is anyone had success doing seems editing. I want to know how to load the many free games available on this phone.

I have 1. To load music/video on it, it's really easy. Get a micro SD card and plug the phone into your computer, it will see the card as a USB drive. Drag stuff onto there, and any songs you like you can copy to your phone and use it as a ringtone. As for games, I have unlimited browser, so I download from Internet. I can access the filesystem on my Z6m with QPST however I can't edit any files since as soon as I copy them to my computer they become 0 bytes.

this is a company phone and they dont have an internet package so thats out of the question for me. I have found how to install games. I use BitPim to read and write to my phone and put the jar and jad files to my preinstall directory under brew. Works great

thanks for you response.

Oh can you not add browser as a feature? With Bell it's $7/month for unlimited, and I believe Bell owns Aliant.

no this is a corporate phone and they bill the company directly. Only the company can change the options of my cell package and there isnt a way for me to recieve the bill for the internet portion of the bill. I guess the company doesn't want us to spend our time on the internet rather then working LOL

I was half successful with seem editing a z6m. I was able to copy the seem from the phone, but I do not know which seem to edit for the z6m. On my v9m, it is 2742_0001, but that is not the case for the z6m - I believe.

I found out how to seem edit my phone, It fixed alot of issues and also unlocked stuff that the cell company disabled.

thanks for your replies

Could you please provide the seem which you used to do so? The name of it, that is.

i was just wondering what program you used to access the files from the phone?

Posted by: D0T-C0M

I used MSU in conjunction with P2K Commander to upload and download the seem to the phone and P2KSeemV710 to modify the seem itself.

P2KSeemV710 does have the ability to upload and download to the phone but it doesn't work with the z6m so I used MSU and P2K Commander to do the uploading/downloading to my phone.

oh ok thanks, but for some reason everytime i run p2k commander it freezes or crashes, so i was just wondering what version of p2k commander you are using, and when you tell it to go to p2k mode does it take a long time ?

thanks

I used p2k commander version V-4.9.D worked perfectly.

Good...When I updated my software with motorola software update it ruined the java running software on the phone.

That is weird as 4.9E does not work for me, I use 4.9D. But thats okay! My Motorola software update was successful at installing. It also edited a couple bugs in the phone which I was quite pleased about.

I use MotoSuperTrubka:

http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1321375

it works great and no need to have msu/pst/rsd running in background

Also check this thread for seem edits discovered so far:

http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...&highlight=edit

Most of the seem edits that work on the V3c/V3m/K1m work on the Z6m as well, but be careful as you can seriously f up your phone.

Thanks for the heads up V3~157
