I apologize if this has been discussed in a previous post, and if it has, please direct me to the solution.

Here's the problem. Yesterday, I upgraded my BlackJack1 to Windows Mobile 6. So far, so good on many things.

The only problem is with tethering. I can no longer tether through my USB connection. When I do, I get "little or no connectivity." I never had this problem with WM5.

I've tried tethering with both MEdia Net and AT&T IMS.

Maybe my settings are wrong?

Can someone who has been successful with this please tell me what settings they are using in Internet Sharing.

And no, I do not officially have tethering in my plan. I'm using Media Max.

That thread is no longer accurate for BJ1 as the official WM6 ROM now has ICS already loaded.

FOr OP, how do you tether your phone, through ICS or modem dial-up?

If you're using the later method, you probably need update your modem driver that supports the WM6 ROM.

And AT&T IMS will definitely not give you any internet connectivity. It is only used for Video Sharing.

I'm using ICS. I had no problem with this before I upgraded to WM6. I'm thinking my internet settings are wrong.

Have you been successful with this?

It's good to know that AT&T IMS will definitely NOT work.

I have no problem with ICS as long as my data connection is working. In fact, I can't use BT for tethering on Vista with WM5. Now I can w/ WM6.

Yeah, I connected it through bluetooth, too. However, I'm getting "limited or no connectivity" and then it says "local access only."

What are your MEdia Net settings???

Try to hard reset your phone and try again. MEdia Net settings can be found on AT&T website. Your problem seems to be related to you data connection not working at all. Can you open Pocket IE on the phone browse any website?

Yes, Pocket IE works for me. I'm starting to think it's a laptop problem. I have a Dell Vostro 1400.

If it is a laptop problem, I have no idea where to start. Unless I reinstall my wireless/bluetooth drivers.
