i just dropped my dash in dirty sink water and need a new phone. ive been lookig @ the htc 8925... and supposedly the htc tytn2, but are they not the same unit? ow much better are they than the wing.. aside the tilt...

also, if i get the htc 8925, can i use the gps with tmobile?

and can anyone gimmie any other recomendations for a smartphone or ppc. i loved my smartphone and cant live without windows mobile 6 and the apps i had.

i have the 8925 right now and its basically same as the tytn the tytn has a camera on the fron and the 8925 has it on the back I love the 8925 its a beast i am also using it on tmobile now and yes you can use gps the wing sucks because the processor is really slow go with the 8925 you will love it

btw ive had the wing and i hated it i had to overclock the processor to speed it up but then that drained the battery quicker

How do you use the GPS with the 8925 on T-Mo?

all you have to do is ahve a gps app on the phone. doesnt matter what carrier you have. If you have tmobile download like google maps windows live maps tomtom telenav and the list goes on you just need a data plan on less your gps software you have has the maps downloaded.

I have a really dead MDA and have to replace it. I have a data plan, so no problem there. Which GPS program do you use, and how does it work for you? Do you have any kind of external GPS receiver?

i use google maps and telenav and no i dont have external gps reciever theres one built in on the tilt/8925

Thanks again....I'm torn between the HTC s730 and an unlocked Tilt, and GPS on the Tilt might sway me. Now if I could just figure out if there is a way to see traffic data on the Tilt, I might be sold...

I appreciate the help and patience. Its been a long time since I was last on HF or XDA...

what kinda traffic data you trying to see because on google maps you can have it show traffic and the telenav app will re route you around traffic
